We recently heard from Christine Seymour of KTS Computers who cover the St Ives and St Neots areas.
Christine and her husband Ken work together with a team of engineers to help you and your business Keep Technology Simple (KTS).
Whether its a new desktop PC, laptop, server, printer or scanner they supply it or fix it.
“This week we have had two different local business approach who bought a laptop for their business from an online retailer” Christine told us “when they started working with it the hard disk filled up almost straight away and rendered it useless”.
Christine explained that there are loads of cheap laptops which are developed for use with web services only and their storage capacity can be less than a mid spec mobile phone, this is to keep the cost down. As soon as you use it for anything involving storage, like emails or big documents, it fills up very quickly.
The moral of this story, she told us, is to ask an expert before to spend your money.
If you need help buying a computer, call KTS first.
They also do remote support, VPNs, networks, virus removal, data back ups and sales and repairs of anything computer related.
